Opel Manta Owners Club UK

Midland Area

Trax 2000, Silverstone.

" you may be put on the edge of the show" said the organiser" due to a shortage of space",
" I don't care where we are ,so long as were there" replied Mick
" I wish everybody was as understanding as you, just for that comment I'll make sure you have a good spot.
That was part of the conversation when Mick booked our site at Trax 2000, and true to his word we could not have
asked for a better spot....slap bang next to the information stand in the main arena. A BIG thanks to those concerned

To make matters even better we had blue skies all day and a great turn out on the stand.....

My V6 Manta A , only just made it to the show, after the engine re-build. But the rush was worth it, as I had a
lot of interest shown in it, I was even approached by Street machine magazine regards a possible feature, so
keep your eyes open.

The show it's self was great, lots of cars, track action, 0-60 speed trails and off cause the Girls !! Anne and I
had a go at the Speed trail. Anne missed 3rd gear and did a 8.4 sec 0-60 not as good as last year but then
there always next time. I managed a 6.3 sec which I'm well chuffed with considering the car has only just gone
on the road after the engine conversion.

There is everything a modified car fan could ask for at this show, Modified car as far as you can see,
Unbelievable ICE systems,

and stalls selling all manner of goods......

Then to finish off there were the "Fast car girls"

WOW! What a show.
